Auditing on Food Safety and Quality Systems
Ashtown Food Research Centre, Teagasc must become proactive in its approach to food safety and quality management. This is particularly so in view of increasing regulation and retailer activities.
Food safety and quality management programmes must deliver appropriate critical information in order to meet such demands and importantly, to provide and objective basis to improve process controls and measurement systems.
Independent auditing services offered by Ashtown Food Research Centre, Teagasc can provide for such objective assessment on both: the adequacy, and the effective implementation of current food safety and quality management programmes.

We provide of a professional audit service delivered by IRCA approved auditors. All our auditors have a wide experience of the food sector.
Our audit service includes:
- Provision of audits to assess compliance with customer or retail requirements
- Provision of hygiene, food safety and quality against any standard agreed with the client. This is an internal assessment carried out for management information and planning
- Second Party audits on Vendor/supplier
- Third Party audits against National Quality schemes
