Food Standards Workshop for SMEs

Why Attend?

All food companies face the pressures of complying with National and European legislation as well as satisfying commercial focussed retailer food safety and quality standards. Different retailers in the EU favour different standards (e.g. BRC, IFS etc.) which have different requirements for documentation, monitoring, traceability, etc. This workshop aims to support small to medium size enterprises (SMEs) in the food sector by providing information on food standards in general with a particular emphasis on BRC.

INPLISTA

INPLISTA is a Specific Support Action project funded under EU Framework 6. The main objective of the project is to provide comprehensive information for SMEs on globally adopted guidelines such as HACCP, BRC-GFS (Global Food Standard), IFS, Dutch HACCP and ISO22000. The project, which has 16 partners (including Teagasc-Ashtown Food Research Centre) from 14 countries, began in April 2007 and is scheduled to run until April 2009.
