Blitz of Suckler Breeding Demonstrations

Teagasc is running a series of 10 suckler breeding demonstrations in September.

Starting in Tullamore Mart, Co Offaly and Castleisland Mart, Co Kerry on Tuesday, September 18th, the demonstrations are part of the Teagasc campaign to bring the best beef breeding management technologies to farmers.

Each demonstration will be addressed by experts from Teagasc, Bord Bia, AI companies and the Irish Cattle Breeding Federation. They will feature the following:

  • Advice on market requirements
  • Exhibits and advice on best replacement strategies
  • Progeny of top AI sires
  • BLUP as an aid to bull selection
  • Update from Irish Cattle Breeding Federation
