Taoiseach Presents First National Certificates

The first nationally accredited certificates for participants in Teagasc training centres were presented by the Taoiseach, Mr Bertie Ahern, at the Teagasc College of Amenity Horticulture, Botanic Gardens.

The certificates, which were presented to participants who have completed the Diploma in Amenity Horticulture, are certified by the newly established Further Education and Training Awards Council (FETAC). The course is one of the wide range of Teagasc courses which are nationally certified by FETAC and the Higher Education and Training Awards Council (HETAC), bringing Teagasc courses into the mainstream education system for the first time.
