Teagasc Meetings on Dairying Post Fischler

The impact of the EU policy reforms on dairy farming will be the key topic at 10 meetings being run by Teagasc, in association with dairy co-operatives over the next 10 days.
The meetings form part of the recently launched Teagasc Planning Post Fischler programme aimed at helping farmers adapt to the radical changes which come into effect next year.
Six meetings are being run jointly by Teagasc and Glanbia at the following venues.

| Thurs 12 Feb | Teagasc Centre, Mullinavat |
Four meetings are being run by Teagasc in association with co-operatives in the midlands and north east at the following venues:

| Mon 9 Feb | Woodenbridge Hotel, Co. Wicklow |
| Wed 11 Feb | Red House Hotel, Newbridge, Co. Kildare |
| Wed 11 Feb | Teagasc Office, Mullingar, Co. Westmeath |
The meetings, all of which start at 8pm, will be addressed by leading Teagasc research and advisory specialists and will feature the latest information on production efficiency, financial management and expansion pathways on dairy farms.
Dermot McCarthy, Chief Dairy Adviser with Teagasc, said the meetings are open to all dairy farmers in the vicinity and he urged as many as possible to attend.
