Agricultural Research Forum Meeting 2004

The 2004 Agricultural Research Forum Conference takes place in the Tullamore Court Hotel, Tullamore, Co. Offaly on Monday 1st and Tuesday the 2nd March 2004. Papers presenting the most up-to-date research results on beef and milk production, animal breeding and genetics, animal reproduction, nutrition, health and welfare, meat science, grassland, crop science, soils science, the environment and agricultural economics are scheduled for this years Conference. A feature of this year’s conference is a plenary session dealing with animal and plant molecular biology / biotechnology. These papers highlight the huge commercial potential that these “newer sciences” offer in terms of accelerating genetic improvement, diagnostics and disease control. The main participating organisations include Teagasc, Faculties of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine UCD, Agricultural Institute of Northern Ireland, Hillsborough, Queens University Belfast, University of Limerick and UCC.
