Teagasc Appoints Director of Advisory Services

Teagasc has announced the appointment of Pat Boyle as Director of Advisory Services, with responsibility for managing and developing its nationwide advisory services to farmers and agri-business.

A native of Balla, Co Mayo, Pat Boyle has more than 20 years experience in the Teagasc advisory service. Currently Chief Agricultural Officer (CAO) with Teagasc in Mayo, he spent his early career as an adviser in Mayo and Roscommon. In 1991, he was appointed CAO in Carlow and also served as CAO in Roscommon before taking up his current position in Mayo in 1997.

He will take up his new role, which will be based at the new Teagasc head office at Oak Park, Carlow, in late July.
