Teagasc Workshop on Nutrifunctional Beverages
Teagasc, in association with Enterprise Ireland, are holding a workshop on Nutrifunctional Beverages in the Conference Centre, Moorepark on Wednesday next, May 4th at 10.00am.
Speakers and facilitators will include experts from the Teagasc Dairy Products Research Centre Moorepark including Dr. Paul Ross and Dr. Tom Beresford. These and other Teagasc Researchers will address work in progress in Moorepark on issues such as ingredients including protein fortification for beverages and the technological challenges in the formulation of “lifestyle” beverages.
Enterprise Ireland will address the strategic development of the Irish Beverages Sector. The event will also include a tour of the research facilities at Moorepark Technology Ltd.
Speaking at the announcement of the workshop, Dr. Phil Kelly, Teagasc Moorepark, said “The Workshop aims to make beverage manufacturers aware of significant ingredients developments from a nutrition and health perspective which may form the basis of new product opportunities.
Dr. Kelly said “the event is an ideal opportunity for those involved in the food manufacturing sector that are engaged in beverage manufacture, new product development personnel and state agencies”.
