Invitation to exhibit at Kildalton IT Event
Event Title: Farming IT
Venue: Teagasc
Date: Thursday 14 th July, 2005
Time: 2.00 p.m. – 9.00 p.m.
Purpose
This event is aimed at promoting the benefits of ICT to the farming community. The purpose of the day is to increase awareness among the farming community of the services and technologies available to them.
Benefit to your organisation
Exhibitors present will be given the opportunity to provide practical demonstrations and to allow the attendance to use and experience the functionality of your products and services.
There will be a range of organisations present from the information technology sectors. Those invited are from the following sectors:
- Government agencies
- Telecommunications/connectivity
- Farm software providers
- Banking and financial services
- Machinery sales
- Agribusiness companies
- Teagasc Services
- Security
Format of the day
The day will be primarily indoors. Your organisation will be provided with a stand space in an exhibitor’s hall. It will not be necessary to provide marquees etc.
Power will be available, and broadband access will be supplied by us via satellite link.
The main format of the day will be the organisations interacting with the attendance from their stand. This will be supplemented with a number of presentations on general issues such as broadband solutions, and PC security. There may be a GPS application demonstration adjacent to the building where the stands are located.
Requirements
Exhibitors wishing to use and demonstrate online applications will need a wireless internet adaptor Wi-Fi.
If an exhibitor has a particular set of requirements they should contact us as soon as possible and we will endeavour to accommodate them.
The participation fee for your organisation is €200 payable by cheque to Teagasc. Further information can be obtained by contacting either:

The return date for the application is Friday the 10th June and application forms should be returned to Teresa Connolly, Kildalton College, Piltown, Co. Kilkenny.
Exposure of the event
The event will be advertised nationally, and a crowd of 1000 to 2000 is expected to attend.
