Teagasc - The Irish Agriculture and Food Development Authority

EBI €100 Awards 2005

This national competition, run by Teagasc, the Irish Cattle Breeding Federation, ACCBank, the Farmers Journal is part of the national campaign to improve the Economic Breeding Index (EBI) of Irish herds.

The competition is based on:

  • The record of herd EBI improvement in the 2004-2005 period;
  • The breeding programme of the herd;
  • Farm profitability;
  • Overall farm performance.

Prizes

First prize - €5,000.

Three regional winner prizes each worth €1,500.

Regional finalist prizes worth €250.

Closing Date for Applications

Application forms are available from Teagasc offices, ACCBank Business Units, ICBF or the Irish Farmers Journal. Each applicant must complete the attached application form and forward it to Ms. Gwen Ryan, Teagasc Advisory Office, Moorepark, Fermoy, County Cork on or before Friday 24th June.
