Appointment to Teagasc Authority

The Minister for Agriculture and Food, Mary Coughlan TD has reappointed Joe Fitzgerald, Carriganassa, Killeagh, County Cork, to the Teagasc Authority for a further five year term. The appointment is effective from 5 October, 2006.

He has served on the Teagasc Authority for the past five years, and is the Chairman of the Advisory and Training Committee of the Teagasc Authority.

Joe Fitzgerald is a member of the National Council of the Irish Creamery Milk Suppliers Association.

Teagasc Chairman, Tom O Dwyer congratulated Joe Fitzgerald on his reappointment to the Authority saying that he looked forward to continuing to work closely with him.

Joe is a dairy farmer and has been a member of ICMSA’s National Council for Cork North and East since 1985. He has served as a member of the ICMSA Dairy Committee, as well as serving two full terms as a member of ICMSA Administrative Committee.
