Born on or after 01/01/1975:

FETAC Level 6 Advanced Certificate in Agriculture or equivalent qualification [1]

Born before 01/01/1975:

Three years farming experience plus satisfactory completion of a Teagasc approved training programme of at least 180 hours duration[2]

4 Additional Investment Aid
(“top-up grants”) – Farm Improvement Scheme
5 New Entrant/Parent Milk Production Partnerships
6 Priority Category for Milk Exchange Scheme
 
7 Early Retirement Scheme

Born on or after 01/01/1975:

Three years farming experience plus satisfactory completion of a Teagasc approved training programme of at least 180 hours duration[2]

Born before 01/01/1975:

Have at least five years farming experience

Notes

  1. The Training & Development Directorate at Teagasc Kinsealy will decide on qualifications equivalence (where relevant/appropriate Teagasc will require the evidence of the National Qualifications Authority of Ireland and/or the Department of Agriculture and Food before making a decision)
  2. FETAC certificates (for the 100 hours and 80 hours courses) may be required.
